话题: Windows refusing to give installation access to VirtualDJ
Hi, I'm having an issue getting VirtualDJ to install on Windows 10. It doesn't matter if I try my main M.2 drive or my secondary storage M.2 drive, I keep getting the error message: "Error writing to file (x). Verify that you have access to this directory". There isn't a "Run as administrator" option available when right-clicking. I have rolled back from Windows 11 to Windows 10 via a bootable USB to solve some driver issues a few days ago, not sure if that's the reason.

Anyone know how to fix this? Cheers

Here's a trick that can get past that sometimes for other apps. Might work for this too.

Right click the windows icon on the taskbar, then click "Windows Powershell (Admin)" or "Command Prompt (Admin)", whichever is there. Once the window loads, type: Explorer then press enter. You should then have a Windows Explorer running as admin. Navigate to where you install program is and try to run it like you did before and see if that gets past the problem. Might not do anything different, but easy enough to try.
