Hi
So really pleased with the new Virtual DJ 2020 but the bass on the stems has taken away my filter effect. How do I add this back? Also another question can I set the microphone that it will come out the master but not out speakers I have connected to my controller ? Thanks in advance.

the bass should be at low EQ if you have opted for adjusting stems on the EQ knobs.
With a 4-ch mixer you can also set the stems to be adjusted on the 2-channels not in use.
It can then be set to use all the 5 knobs (including filter). I guess thats what you are using and mean..
But this can all be adjusted and set to your own liking, if you click the down arrow at top of the EQ section (default skins).
Can opt to even use the stems on pads instead, and they are also available as regular audio FX
