I have vdj 8. I was wondering if mixed in key 8.5 is compatible.. can anyone help ?

What do you mean by compatible?
If you allow MIK to write info to your files tags, those can be read by VDJ if that's what you mean. They're just standard ID3 tags.
My advise would be not to bother, as the key detection in VDJ is much better than it used to be - so the need for MIK has shrunk.

I bought MIK and found that it conflicted with VDJ, so I just went with VDJ. It ws a whole lot better for me and a whole lot simpler for editing.
To help me clean up multiple files though, I also use some free software in addition to VDJ. the free software is Bulk Rename Utility and MP3Tag. These are really good things so I made a donation to the developers for their time and efforts.
