I love the default skin but there are a few things I would like to change.
I want the left track on the top half of the display.
i want the right track on the bottom half of the display.
I like simple blue or red displays in amplitude.
I would also like the beat detection dots to be bigger.
Also, what do the "S D R" buttons do on the tracks display. It's really weird.
I would like the LOOP functions to be easier. Like to toggle a single button for 1/4, 1/2, 1,2,4,8 beats.
Is this stuff possible?

In "settings" page "Interface" folder you have a link top right of the preview image to edit selected skin

Before you attempt to mess with the default skin, take a look at the already available skins that are based on the default one. There are also lots of skins with their own unique design which you might find better than the default one.
Finally, you can even build your own skin by using djdad's Skin Builder. It's actually a skin itself, but it allows you to choose what you want, move it around and then save it.
