I am wondering how I can tell if my new DELL laptop is sufficient (enough memory? enough power? enough everything?) to play an upcoming event I have booked?
Is there a good place I can bring it in person? maybe a way for someone to look at my tech specs and identify any noticeable shortcomings or potential problems?

Do you have Vdj on your computer, and it works when using it at home there should be no problems.

So I just downloaded the new firmware and updated the drivers for my DENON DJ MC3000 that I have hooked up. As far as the computer goes... let me see what I can find in regards to specs for it. If you have a suggestion as to where to get my complete computer specs or you have a specific question about a certain aspect, let me know because I'm happu yo include more info with some guidance.

CPU, Memory look good, There are audio latency checks you can do as well, I think there is a thread on the forums here that you can find a link to the software that checks the audio latency.
However, in comparison, I have an Alienware m14xr2, that has lower specs than yours, and Ive run VDJ64 for a few sessions now (a 5 hour session, and a few 2 hour sessions) just fine.
Best test, would be to simulate your gig at home, attempt to perform for the length you would be at the gig, if you do fine for a home test, you should be fine at the venue.
