Hi, I am using VDJ on an HP Laptop, with an external HDD, and a Hercules DJ Control Wave controller.
The problem I am having is that every so often, whilst playing, the music stops and the laptop is unresponsive. You can not move the cursor, and the keys don’t function. You have to hold the power button in, to turn the laptop off, then when you turn it back on it works. The problem is intermittent, but becomes a real problem half way through a busy night.
I have reinstalled the laptop, and undated the drivers for the controller. Although I have to unplug the controller when starting VDJ, and plug in back in when the programme had opened, to get the controller to function.
I am thinking the controller is the problem, but don’t want to buy another one, if the problem lies elsewhere.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Adavance.

Try using the controller with a different usb cable and see if the problem still persists.
