Using the Denon MC6000 and QSC k12/kw181 speakers is there anyway of using the denon to connect a guitar through a channel? AUX 1 / Aux2 and get a phono to jack converter for guitar?

Guitar is low output, more like a mic. Aux would be too quiet.
OTOH if the guitarist is using backline (his own amp/speaker) then that may well have a line level output you can use.

no they wanted to play an acoustic set through my system, so not sure how to achieve it, maybe just bypass denon and connect direct to the k12

Yes I know - you said. If they're using an acoustic guitar then you could just mic it up.
If it's electric or has a pickup, plug it into a mic input - but electric players are more likely to bring/use a guitar amp (for FX/tone/monitoring).
