As of the middle of July 2015 all my new itunes "music video" purchases no longer work on Virtual DJ.
When i look at my downloaded music videos in the KIND column it now says "Protected music file".
Ive signed up to Itunes Match, deleted the original videos and then re downloaded the file again, but they are still protected files.
Is any one else having the same issues as me.
I've emailed apple, but they have been a waste of time.
Hopefully some one can help.....!!

Yup, here is a tip! It all started with iTunes 12.2+ and the introduction of Apple Music (aka Beats streaming service). At first all purchased content had DRM, but Apple quickly fixed the bug but only for music. Music Videos was/is still overlooked. I have submitted Apple Feedback about it and also submitted a "Problem with purchase" ticket. They did not get back to me on the problem with purchase.
What you need is to find iTunes 12.1. https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615?locale=en_US
I have a back up computer with that installed still. When I want a Music Video, buy it with iTunes either old or new iTunes BUT download it with iTunes 12.1 or older and manually transfer the file to your iTunes 12.2+ version. You can even just delete the protected file and replace it with the file from the older iTunes. Then open iTunes, find the track and click "Get Info". You will see it switch to Purchased. Working like a champ at the moment!

FYI, I kept testing this and I can confirm that they "silently" fixed this DRM bug with iTunes Music Video purchases. Funny how it was not even mentioned in the iTunes update. Sometimes I really hate Apple..
