Could someone please explain to me what crates are? How to use them and an explanation on what they are used for?

"Crates" are used by Serato to organize your songs.
Similar to the virtual Folders in VDJ.
The Crate icon in VDJ lets you use this crates created in Serato.

If I'm not wrong, is the music folder for Serato software. Virtualdj can also search files in crates folders.
