Ironically this is the second computer in a row that this has happened (so I know it's not the computer). When I start assigning my decks and mixer to the denon asio driver I receive a message "sorry, your computer must restart- Problem: BAD_POOL_CALLER", and the whole screen goes blue for up to 10 minutes.
I strongly believe this is a windows 8 error relating to vdj 8 because this has happened on both an asusq400a and a msi dominator gt70 laptop, but it never happened on my macbook. I can tell you this happened the first 5-10 times I used vdj on my asus q400a, and after 6 months or so it stopped happening for a while.

You can analyse the dump file windows creates, there are guides out on the net.
