Got a problem with VDJ, when selecting a song from files on my Ext Hard Drive. Whilst selecting the songs, the programme will freeze, on screen, for aprox 20 to 30 seconds, enabling any controls to be operated. However, the music still continues to play in the background, while this is going on. I have a brand new Laptop, which is very fast, at selecting & loading songs, but the freezing can make things difficult, especially when i am nearing the end of a song. Has anybody experienced this? and can anyone advise on this problem? Cheers, BL.

No I haven't turned off or adjusted anything in Windows.

You should try ...
If your external HD is in sleep mode it will take a couple of seconds to "wake up" and load the track.
some external HD´s have their own build-in power management ( so USB Powersaving settings do not affect the behaviour of the external drive) .
In this case you can use a freeware tool like http://nosleephd.codeplex.com/
