I have the smartplay off but it will sync (adjust tempo) a newly loaded track with the current track about every 4-6 loads. Sometimes it will do it back to back and sometimes I can go 10 songs without it happening. It happens in 2 and 4 deck modes. Just used it for a gig for the first time on Saturday and most tracks were loaded up in VDJ8 for the first time if that matters. Has done it with and without external hardware. Could not seem to find any posts about this. Thanks.

Check to make sure 'autobpmmatch' is off.

Thanks, That seems to have fixed it. Why was it only working some of the time then??? And why the hell was it under "audio" when everything else like it was under "options"?

There's another option to select whether the tracks should be matched even if the BPM difference is huge, so presumably that was 'off', meaning that it only matched when the tracks were "within range" of each other.
