Having an issue I went to DJ the other night and there was no internet connection and version 8 was asking to sign in. So at this time I couldn't use ny controller without signing in. How do I prevent this from happening again when we need to sign in to use controller.

You would only have been signed out of v8 if you signed yourself out, or you signed in on another machine (or install of VDJ) whilst this machine was online.

There's perhaps still some sort of bug with this. (There was a time where VDJ reported that I wasn't signed in, when I was and the license.dat file was indeed there...)
I closed and re-opened VDJ a few times and it finally saw the license file. (I was in a venue with no Internet Access and my WiFi was off.)
I noted it quite some time ago, however I haven't seen it since. What I do is now I keep a copy of my license file renamed to something else in the folder. If this were to happen again, I can manipulate the backup file and force VDJ8 to work.)
