I rename a song, for example, Michael Jackson - Bad.mp3 to Michael Jackson - Bad (12").mp3
Next, I choose Tag Editor and press button "Get Artist/Title from Filename", the text (12") is not appended.

Change "getremixwhenparsingfilenames" to no and try again

Rename it within VDJ, Make edit, apply then update file name from tag editor to change file name.

Ah I see what's changed. The text from the filename between the brackets gets placed in a field called 'remix'. Great! Problem solved.
