No idea whats causing this but I cant work with this, I miss cue points and cant cross fade properly because the whole program hangs for 2 seconds at a time with music still playing. After 2 seconds it comes back again, but I cant do a live set with this

try set buffer higher at your sound card .. (often called latency). Try set asio/sound buffer to 11ms or 1024 .. thats usually a good setting for most.
Also try see if something is taxing your cpu (ctrl + alt + del, sort the list by cpu % )
