I had an issue with Milkdrop on the main Effects not closing , infact even turning computer off and back on milk drop would start with VDJ I was only able to fix by uninstalling and redownloading, reinstalling VDJ.
The build I downloaded and reinstalled was Version VDJ1752.626 which was a lower version to what I had.
For the last 24 hours ive received no updates (I've turned VDJ off n on a number of times still nothing, is there a check for updates still.
How do I get the updates?
I seem to be stuck on 1752 Latest released build is 1761

Yes, indeed, the latest build available for Pro users is still 1752. We have a newer build, but as from now these will be available for you after a couple of days, until the Beta Team makes sure that the new ones are as much as stable as the old one.
So most likely, today or the day after you will going to get the new one as well.
