hi all
having problems, have a new mxr 19 and vdj pro.
the section on the skin where the vu meters and gains are keep flickering and the sound is affected, windows xp, it does the same on any skin.

Why do you mention the MXR19? Does the problem only happen when the MXR19 is plugged in?
Sounds more like a graphics card driver problem than anything to do with VDJ - unless you're running your skin(s) at the wrong resolution.

Yes only when the mixer plugged in. Have tried 2 different laptops as well. Same thing. The mixer section of the screen jumps or more importantly the gains

Most likely its a hardware issue. The MXR is mapped with fake_actions (fake_eq, fake_crossfader, fake_level etc). So what u see on the screen is the flickering that the unit sends (different midi notes/cc).
Try to use a different USB cable, or contact AA to advise you on how to clean the unit from dust etc
Btw, the only knob that is mapped with no fake action, is the gain knob. Dont have the unit, but you can try to delete the action of the Gain slider (from Config-->Mappers) and see if that fixes anything. Normally, it should have its own internal gain, so you could still use the Gains of the device properly.
Read the manual, in case you have set the device incorrectly.
Both of your 2 laptops run Windows XP ? Have you tried Windows 7 ?

Thanks, the gain buttoms on each channel dont actually work at all with the mixer when using vdj, they alter the volume but the knobs on the screen do not work at all . the bass and treble etc work fine on screen, these are the ones that flicker on both sides of the wave form meter, also the headphone cue on mixer works fine but the correspondinig screen knob remains static, very strange problem, both are on xp, have my lads windows 7 laptop here so could try that.

What you have to remember is that when you have a real mixer in front of you, the mixer on screen is not required. That's only there for people who don't have hardware.
If you've got the real thing in front of you, all you need on screen are your decks and a list of tracks.
When you drive along the street in a car, you don't need a pretend car on a screen in front of you, do you? :-)
