I have ordered the traktor audio 2 from native instruments to use with my IDJ2 turntable. Do i have to buy the full version to adjust the settings to make the traktor audio 2 work with virtual DJ and my IDJ2?

You will need to purchase either VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional to be able to use multi-channel external DJ sound cards such as the Audio 2 as well as have the ability to output the left/right decks in VirtualDJ separately to your IDJ2.
If you don't currently plan to use MIDI controllers, timecode or full-screen video, then VirtualDJ Basic will meet your needs for now.

NOTE: VirtualDJ Home FREE and VirtualDJ Broadcaster don't support using multi-channel external sound cards and also do not support separate deck outputs for use with an external DJ mixer.
