Often when I load an mp3 file, the gain goes to maximum within the virtual DJ mixer. Is there a way to prevent this?

In the Config-Options I have Auto Gain set to "Auto+Remember" as I do want tracks with a lower recording level to be increased, but not to the maximum.

Auto+Remember set the Gain to the value you have manually selected from the previous time you loaded the same file. If no previous adjustment of Gain exists for the same song, it sets the Gain to 0db.
On the other hand if you set AutoGain to AUTO, it will always bring the Gain to 0db, once you load the file.

If a song is recorded very low (e.g. -12db) and VirtualDJ brings that to 0db, you will notice the gain slider of the skin to be on maximum. That doesnt mean that the Gain is too high. The 12 o clock position of the gain is relative to the original gain of the song.

My personal setting is to AUTO, and from there i may have to make small adjustments using a gain knob.
