Hi sorry to bother you all. After 3 years without without internet or mains electric i finally sorted out a laptop. Unfortunatly it came loaded with windows 7 and it doesnt recognise my old herc controller (mark 2) Id love to get this working again. Trying to use the net at a cafe is a bind as they have restristed all downloads. and my laptop battery kicks out after 2 hours so im having trouble trawling thru all the old posts for A FIX. If one of you boffins could point me to a cheap fix or a work around id be a happy surfer again, just for personal use not a PRO DJ.

Make sure that you have the latest drivers and firmware for the DJ console installed ( http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MK2.html ) as well as the latest VirtualDJ Console Edition from your Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
Also, if your new laptop has USB 3.0 ports then make sure that you plug the Hercules MK2 into a USB 2.0 port if the computer has one available. If not, then you may need to use a powered USB 2.0 hub for it to work.
