A: If you want real vu meters, just edit the xml file of the skin, and replace source="volume" by source="beat" in the sliders related to that." just open up the required xml in a program like notepad and find the appropriate line edit it and save it

Good idea, tried it. Now the "vu-meter" goes similar to the beat light, which means it's still not like real vu-meter, but a bit nicer than the static one.

Ouch! I have to revert back. The GUI slowed down too muchy and the record scratch doesn't work like before. Can you confirm this?
I really like the Vu meters on like this this but if it affects the audio, it is not worth it.

Please disregard my last post. I removed Virtual DJ, re-installed and still have GUI slowdown. Something else must be wrong with my system and is not related to VU meter tweak.
