it seems that i can work around the lock up now. it has to do with the song scan, to scan and completely finish its a bout one min. on my pc. about the same time as the lockup. so each time i enter a song, i watch the harddrive light to see if its busy or not( i mean like very busy, almost solid light) so when i load a song and the scan is done, well yes you got it , no lockup. see if i didn't wait til the song scan was fininshed and it happened to play the end of the song while still scannning thats when i get a lockup. so as long as i either allow enought time for the scan or cut the song before the very end to avoid this lockup junk. i guess i may need more ram but atleast i don't have to run out and hope that fixes it...thanks for those who helped me out.
