话题: Other BPM software?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hey,

I've tried the in-built one in Virtual DJ and MixMeister BPM software and I've found them both to be pretty off when it comes to certain types of music (especially jungle, gabber, hardcore etc..). Has anyone tried any others?

Thanks.

Did you try BOTH bpm engines in Virtual DJ ?
you will find it in FAME settings

Ahh I guess this is why I should buy the full version :)

Hrm. I have a copy of the trial version of the full version. Running the songs through both engines produced conflicting results, both of them wrong.

sad to hear

if both VDJ and Mixmeister gets them wrong, my guess is that its pretty hard for software to detect the beats accurately.

dont know if there is any other soft what can.
You can try this one, that have been helping me some in the past :

Or this one, that seem to work for odd music as well:
http://www.pyramidedata.dk/autobpm.html (very good one)

Dont know if they do handle your kinda music, but it might be worth a try

Also, the final good way, is of course to manually tap the beat in Virtual DJ
Tap along for say the 30 first beats, and VDJ get it calculated
A bit of work, of course, but definitively worth it, if no software can help you

good luck anyway :)

Thanks for those links. Just to let everyone know that the program linked in the first one installs spyware as well.

Mixmeister is almost perfect for most (nothing reads everything perfect). If that doesn't get it, then maybe you should think about tapping/adjusting.

Break.

I think mixmeister bpm analyser is'nt that accurate either.
However I found that mixmeister program on its own has the best and accurate bpm's. Its just a shame that you can't export that information into a txt file.

I think the older versions like v3 you possibly can?
