I find the new version of virtualdj very difficult to set keyboard shortcuts. and it don,t even support the old xlm file for my previous shortcuts

How so ... ?

1. Click the + at the bottom to ADD a new key
2. In the Action box start typing what you want to do.
If you want it for a specific deck the start with -> deck 1 or deck 2

As you type the action, the list below will show you actions that closely resemble what you are typing ...
Click on any one to see an explanation of what that action does ...

Go back and finish typing the action you want to perform.

For reference of things ... look at the existing Keyboard shortcuts to get an idea of a lot of the actions.
 
What are the new variables for things such as crossfader momentary, crossfade full left/right, etc? None of the old settings word except finding center and then moving in small steps one way or another. There are many posts about this problem and noboday has or wants to provide a CLEAR answer and fix. Not all of us are programmers and can figure it all out. I'm not paid to be a programmer, I'm paid to be a DJ and have been doing so for 15 years and using VDJ for the past 5 now. Never had this problem since day 1, now I do and am not liking this at all. Not a club jock, not a scratch jock, just a good wedding and private event DJ that likes to use my laptop, use keyboard shortcuts and limited mouse usage and no other controllers for VDJ. Version 6.0.1 has ruined all that!
 
no question about it,VDJ is the best. you guys did a great job with 6. my problem is with the keyboard shortcuts. it maybe easy for you guys but for the rest of us who don't understand jack about scripting and all that,it's a friggin headache. I myself is coming from ATOMIX and never had problems with shortcuts until 6....try this one..I had one key programed for cloning the decks. now i can still program a key to do that but song are out of sync..the way i see it i know it can be done but not with about 12 hours i put in. can anybody help me with that one plus about 20 more?
 
if you have your old xml file from 5 you can put it in the new folder and rename it. then choose it in the drop down window. it worked for me.

i did that clone deck with the keyboard.. and works perfectly....

here are my short cuts

(deck 2 - cloning deck1) deck 1 clone_deck - P
(deck 1 - cloning deck2) deck 2 clone_deck - I

P and I are the keys assigned
 
It's really not working.
I set f8 to crossfader 100% and it does nothing when i press it.
