with windows 7 comming out in oct of this year
its time to let DirectX 9 die and have a 64 bit DirectX 11 support
from what i hear it runs much cleaner

Unfortunately DX9 support could not be killed off, since XP doesn't officially support anything after 9 - and most VDJ users are using XP still I would guess.
