Still no joy on the 4 beat loop button..Its just not regestering anything at all..I mapped the arrow buttons left and right to double and half theb llops...reverse is working now too.

Would love the 4 beat button to work as well

Ok what are you expecting the 4-Beat Loop button to do ? Because you now mention the arrow buttons labeled CUE/LOOP.

Do this ... got the mapper tab - click on the the + button then press the 4-Beat Loop button. What is the mapping in the action's box on the right? It should be loop 4

I tried clicking the + button in the mapping tab and then pressing the 4 beat loop button on the player but nothing registers. I just want it to go into a 4 beat loop just as it does when using the players normally.

Is there anyone here who perhaps has had the same issue that I am having with CDJ2000's and if at all possible can help me. I have tried to get help from the staff at virtual dj and it seems that I cannot get a reply either thru e-mail or phone. First off I have the latest version 6.0.3 and it seems that everytime I play a gig the player on the right starts disstorting. I have switched players and cables and it still only does it on the right player, not to mention the annoying red led light that looks really stupid as if you have two different players. I have used them with serato and I don't have any issues but of course I end up losing alot of features. I really don't want to start using serato but if virtual dj keeps ignoring its dj's and their customer service does'nt get any better then I can bet people will start leaning towards serato. For 3 weeks now I have been trying to get an answer on how to fix this issue, the latency issue was fixed when the new version came out along with some adjustments I had to make. I don't have any computer issues because virtual dj has always worked with the denon 4500, pioneer MEP7000, and cdj400. If there's is anyone out there that can help I would greatly appreciate the help.
 
Latest version is 6.0.8 and not 6.0.3 (maybe a typo ;-)). If you download and install latest Pioneer drivers it would perform just in plug and play... I don't know what could be, but sure is not VirtualDJ blame, because I have running CDJ-2000 (and many others too) in Mac and PC with no issues and of course not any distortion sounds for sure.

Question:

CDJ-900 as soundcard and midi control to VDJ, the "Slip Mode" featuring can be use?
 
Correct the slip mode is only a CD feature ...
 
Another Question:

Two usb, one for each of them. So, you can't use link and only conect one CDJ900 ?
 
Link is only good when running with USB devices so you can share tracks between the units off 1 USB drive.
 
Hi everybody!

Wednesday is going to be my 3rd official gig, only that this time round i'll be in control from 21h00 till 05h00! Anyway I went over to the club to check out their setup and it's as follows:

CD PLAYERS: Pionner 1x CDJ 1000 MK3 and 1x CDJ 1000
MIXER: I don't know the mark but it works.
etc.

I'll be using my Maya 44 sound card, Virtual DJ 6.0 and 2 VDJ TIMECODE CDs.

Here's how I set everything up in Virtual DJ:

SOUND CARD: Asio Driver: Maya44 USBAudio ASIO driver (Ultra latency checked)
OUTPUT: External mixer
INPUT: Timecodes
TIMECODE CONFIG:
> Vinyl: Virtual dj V5 CD
> Mode: Smart relative

Great! Now I can get to THE PROBLEMS and my suspicions of why this setup is giving me hell:

I believe it normal that I get that whizzing sound when I pop the timecode CDs into the CDJs. The CDJ 1000 works perfectly (the cue is fairly unresponsive) but every time I play music on the 2nd deck (CDJ 1000 MK3) I get a normal output of music BUT with the whizzing sound from the Timecode CD.

This being said, I hope the you guys can help me with my problem. This gig really means a lot to me for various reasons and I'd really like to get my stuff to work. I spent almost 3 hours trying different combinations of setup only to end up giving in to defeat... PLEASE HELP!

My assumptions and thoughts:
-Should the timecodes be burnt in a particular way? I simply used Windows Media Player
- Do I have the vinly option for the timecodes setup up incorrectly
- Do you think the problem arises from the fact that one deck is a CDJ1000 and that the other is a CJD100 MK3?

I'm bilingual but my mother tongue is English so I'll stick to the English forums ;-) I've got the VDJ 6.0.7 trial but it hasn't solved the problem. Please help!

Make sure that the inputs of the Maya44 are muted - Go to CONFIG -> Sound Setup -> ASIO Config to display the Maya44 control panel.

In the monitor section, make sure all sliders are at the bottom and the Mute tick boxes are ticked.

Hello, I made the jump to VJD Pro, strictly for mixing music videos...I am just learning the software and so far it's great...However, I am use to using 2 Pioneer DVJ-X1's & DVD's with a Numark mixer...Honestly, I am uneducated with using MIDI, and in searching the forums I noticed that possibly picking up a Pioneer DJM-5000 (with the USB, MIDI & soundcard built-in) may be the way to go for me...Correct me if I'm wrong, I am thinking I can hook up the DVJ-X1's and use them as external controllers with the DJM-5000? (With play, cue, pitch, hot cues etc...all being able to control VDJ from the X1's). This way if I have problems with my laptop crashing or acting up I can have a "back-up" by switching back to my DVD's and playing until the laptop re-boots. Will this work? Thanks. Mike.
 
DVJ can be used but just as simple timecode controllers, not midi (or HID) like CDJ-400 or CDJ-350 or CDJ-900, or CDJ-2000 can. If you want to go with DVJs then you may need a 4INs-4OUTs sound card, like Echo AudioFire 4, Hercules DJTrim 4&6 or others. You can in this way operate as you want.

If you want DJM-5000 and DVJs, then add this sound card and install timecodes and you are ready to go. However this setup could also be done by a CDJ-1000 too.

Just a quick question on the pioneer website and forums. Are they down or is something wrong my end? Everytime I try to load the page it comes up server not found. Any ideas?

Thanks acw dj. So if I pick up a 4 in-4 out sound card would my current crossfader manipulate VDJ for audio & video transitions simultaneously? (when locked within the program). Or, would I need a MIDI mixer to do this? Mike.
