Q: What are the system requirements for running VirtualDJ?



Below are the recommended system requirements for running VirtualDJ:
Ideally, your computer should meet and preferably exceed the recommended requirements.



Windows

Supported Operating systems

  • Windows 7*
  • Windows 8*
  • Windows 8.1*
  • Windows 10



Recommended Hardware requirements

  • Intel® i5™ or better
  • Windows 10
  • Multi-channel soundcard
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 200MB free on the hard drive

Additional for Video mixing

  • AMD™, ATI™ or NVIDIA® video card
  • Dual-screen output for second monitor

Additional for stems isolation

  • Windows 10 64-bit
  • NVIDIA® video card (9xx or above)



Mac OSX

Supported Operating systems

  • OS X v.10.10 (Yosemite)
  • OS X v.10.11 (El Capitan)
  • OS X v.10.12 (Sierra)
  • OS X v.10.13 (High Sierra)
  • OS X v.10.14 (Mojave)
  • OS X v.10.15 (Catalina)

* VirtualDJ 2021 is not supported by older Operating Systems. VirtualDJ 2020 can still be used and downloaded here.



Older Operating Systems

Windows XP / Windows Vista

Windows XP and Windows Vista are only supported up to VirtualDJ 2018 build 4787

macOS X 10.7

macOS X 10.7 is only supported up to VirtualDJ 2018 build 4918

macOS X 10.8
macOS X 10.8 is only supported up to VirtualDJ 2020 build 5630
You can download it here

Please be aware that it is highly recommended to upgrade to a more recent operating system; as these are no longer supported there is a high risk of malware. New controllers, features and updates are also not available for these older builds.

Notes:

  • Some older DJ hardware may not be compatible with the latest available Operating systems. Before upgrading, you should check the manufacturer's websites to ensure that all hardware that you will be using (Sound cards, MIDI controllers, etc.) is compatible.

  • Make sure you have the latest version/build of VirtualDJ http://www.virtualdj.com/download/index.html
