As early as the age of five I was spinning 45's on my sesame street record player! C is cookie! I'm a child of the 70's and back then almost every department store had a record store within it. So my mom would drop me and my older brother off at the record store while she shopped. We would stock up on records from The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, Lakeside, The Fatback Band. But when the Adventures of Super Rhymes and Rapper's delight hit I knew I was hooked. Ever since then I have been a music junkie! But deeper than that I was infatuated with the D.J's spinning the records and the crowd response from the jams. Fast forward to my junior year in high school I got a job and every penny I made went to buying wax (Record Rack, Soundwaves, Waterloo) and stereo...As early as the age of five I was spinning 45's on my sesame street record player! But deeper than that I was infatuated with the D.J's spinning the records and the crowd response from the jams. Fast forward to my junior year in high school I got a job and every penny I made went to buying wax (Record Rack, Soundwaves, Waterloo) and stereo eqiupment. I would mix with local DJ's and go to clubs (6400, The Lizard Lounge, Decadance, Limelight) in Houston to check out the club DJ's. By my senior year I was doing house parties and bought my only set of 1200's and an Atus AM300 Mixer. I rocked parties and clubs throughout college (12 crates per gig!) Nowadays I have a full time "real job" therefore I'm a mobile DJ and do occassional club events. I've transitioned into the digital vinyl world and have been blessed to have friends in the industry that have spared me the agony of ripping my entire vinyl collection in order to get started with VDJ and Serato. I spin hip-hop,r&B, house, new wave(yes before it was called anything else), dance.... to quote the O'Jays - I love Music! Peace Que Yi!
