Tonio loves dance music since... well forever. He was listening to the DJ's in the early 90's, trying to figure out what made them good, amazed by the technique shown on those Technics 1200 decks - he started counting beats and really understanding what they were doing - without ever touching a DJ setup himself... Life started and dance music/DJ's faded away - until around 2007.
Picking up Mixmeister Fusion, he got interested again in the DJ work of the days. The old music came back out of the closet and a retro "DJ" was born, doing a lot of 2 hours set on the Second Life platform, where people could hear him select the music on shoutcast servers.Tonio loves dance music since... well forever. Trance was a big part of his retro dance music heritage, and Tonio fell in love with this genre again.
A switch to Virtual DJ and a Pioneer ERGO controller came out of the feeling to be closer to the real thing - to have that absolute last "live" feeling and buzz that mixmeister is lacking (as you are mixing slightly ahead of time on that platform, like on Ableton Live)
Recently Tonio Roffo has been featured regulary on the Belgian Top Radio show "Retromaniacs" and will soon be making guest appearances with recent trance/progressive tracks on another local radio.
