please help....
i used to click on local database to get all my songs.
i now have version 5 and realize it doesn't work that way anymore
what do i click on now in order to put (*) in to get all my songs now?

Just do the search -- * for all the songs. Or create a filter folder in and us isscanned=1 as the filter.
