Hi all,

Some of you don't know me, others who know VirtualDJ (and older softwares) know I'm here since the beginning of the adventure.

The story began during summer 2000. I was passionate of computer djing, and ad this time, there wasn't so much dj softwares. I remember I began to mix on VTT, till I discovered this summer 2000 an incredible software, brand new and innovative, called Virtual-DJ. The very first one, which is not known for most of you today. This software was a revolution, notably whith his "one click" BPM synchronization system, and its graphical display of beats.

Then this software became AtomixMP3, which is still very popular today. The website, which was tiny, knowed its first teamers, VIPs, ... I then took part a lot in forums and website debug (I remember I was still a simple user). I quickly made a new friend called Yan-X, who was very passionated like me. Some months later, I became a teamer. At this time we were very few, and soon Yan-X and me managed 90% of customer service. We even were the representative of the company in the forums.

I also began to know Stephane Clavel, software developer and CEO of Atomix Productions.

In 2002, I began my job of webmaster during my lost hours, for fun. I then rewrote from scratch the forum engine and other parts of the website. The I quickly became the official webmaster, even if I was still working for free, outside of my real job.

In 2003 there was the 1st Siel event, which I'll always remember, because it was so fun to meet passionated users for the first time! The only goal of our booth was to meet eachother and have fun.

In 2005, lot of things changed. The Siel was still a success. But there has been a lot of changes in the company. Atomix Productions was growing, and needed a full-time webmaster, who had to manage other tasks like customer support supervision, servers configuration and maintenance, etc. Of course I accepted this job with pleasure and honnor. So Since 2005, I was working offically for my passion.

The best exhibition we made is for me the Siel 2006. An incredible booth, a sound which made crazy a lot of nightclub owners, a lot of DJ's were mixing on VirtualDJ...

But a lot of things changed since 2007. Bad things. I won't describe all details here, my goal is not to disparage Atomix Productions. I'll just say there are more and more things which I disagree and which make me furious, and I disagree with the direction.

So I resigned from the company and left it 2 days ago (wednesday). Of course, I'll keep a touched souvenir of this evolution, and most of this incredible community. I hope I'll be able and authorized to continue to dialog in forums, but this kind of decision can only be taken by the direction.

Good Luck man. At least you can take some pride away with you, Knowing that you helped in making VDJ what it is today, a success. I only discovered VDJ a few months ago and I wished I found it earlier.

its a shame when someone for whatever reason feels compelled to leave a company that they obviously love, but think of all of those fantastic memories you've got and the friends that you have made and friends that will always be here in the forums just waiting for you to visit them.

Well Dams was the behind the scenes man for those who didn't know him before now.
He was a big part of the core Team from the get go, unlike so many that followed to what it is today me included.

So a big KUDOS for all you did here Dams, and good luck with the future path you have chosen.

I've got a smallish company going with about 12 or so people, there are always difference of opinions, but i think that is healthy, i find that's what keeps the company going in the right direction, passionate views are an indication that a person really cares.

Sometimes finding the right employer can be like finding the right girlfriend... sometimes neither of you are doing anything wrong, you both have your difference of opinions, but it only escalates to argument. Other relationships can have difference of opinions but it escalates to debate rather than argument, that is the key difference!

I don't pretend to know what's going on....but i love VDJ... you're a part of it's history... be proud... and the best of luck.

I already wished you the best via PM, but I will do it here public here also. Although you don't know me, I know you for a long time since AtomixMp3 site when I was without license. I know all the great job you did here during years so thank you.

It's unfortunate that when a company starts growing, politics grow with it. When there are politics involved...sometimes it's not so good.
