Topic: To sell or not to sell [HARDWARE]

Now I've got vdj sorted I want to expand on it. I've got a pair of 1210's mk2 and a gemini mixer from when I span vinyl. What I was thinking was to get some TCV and connect the decks up to vdj and use them.

But I've changed my mind now. I was thinking about selling the 1210's. and putting the money I get from them towards something like a pair of Numark ICDX's or similar ( I think they look cool ).

I'm confused and don't know what to do. Can anyone offer some advice,and also some good info on these mp3/cd players, such as the ICDX's as I don't really no alot about them, like which models and makes to look out for.

Jimmy, I miss my tables...and I own the iCDXs, two of them. Try to save up and buy whatever players you decide is best. Not to mention, I hear TCVs rock. Just my two cents worth.....
 
keep your tables man. Theres nothing like spinning on turntables. It sounds weird but when I look at a youtube vid, if I see someone using cdjs I find it very boring to watch, however if I see turntables I will probably watch the whole way through.

When Im spinning on my turntables, yeah the mixes might not be as tight as pio cdjs200/1000s but it sure is fun:)
 

Yeah I'm a old school type of guy really, don't scratch, just love mixing. It's nice to see vinyl spinning. There is a special bond between 1210's and dance music ( all kind of dance music I may add ) I think.

Just looked at some prices of ICDX's here in England, what a rip off compaired to the prices that are over the big pond.

I think you have helped me make up my mind. I'll keep em and get me some TCV.

jimmy b if you buy time code vinyl make shure you buy numark 3rd gen vinyl u can get them from decks.co.uk the vdj ones from this site are gen 2 and nowere nere as good
 

I was wondering how I get my hands on some TVC. Not calling VDJ but I've read alot of posts about wrap VDJ vinyls. Do the Numark vinyl work good, What sort of prices are they???

The Numark vinyls are the VDJ vinyls.same thing different label. Cant help you on cost..I live in the US..

jimmy b i payed 28 pound for 2 from decks .co.uk delivered next day and in stock they are 3rd gen as i said the ones from here are 2gen and for me dont track as well

I just went from my CDJ 1000's to my 1210 M5G's. SO glad I did!
 
I think by far the best hands on mixng is with TCV. It really depends on your mixing style but nothing beats a 12" platter.

Who sells Technics TT's anymore besides stores? Don't do it. You'll regret it till the day you die.

I have a boy who had cdj's and is going old school. Apparently Technics have increased sales since the invention of TCV's.
