In ver 5 History is in my documents vdj folder.
If you just rename it I don't believe it changes location. Still in same folder

I renamed one history and it change the dinamics of the file. I forgot where I end finding it.

I renamed one of the dates in the history and it's not there any more...I would like it back in the history folder...I don't know how to get it back??

Try a search in windows for the filename (the one you renamed). Once you find it
you should be able to cut or copy and paste it where you want it.

I tried tried that once before but once you rename it changes the file type and VDJ did not recognize it any longer... At least it was the case in v5.0.2... sorry not home to try again.

Does anyone know the correct way to rename the history dates so they stay in the history??? I did find the file but virtual didn't recognize the new file name... thanks

It will stay there just rename it but dont erase the .m3u at the end, just did it here and it works. Click on the + next to History, select the date, right click and select rename and look carefully at it and you will see the .m3u at the end, as long as that is there it will stay there.

I tried it and it worked...still don't know how to get the old file back in VDJ....thanks alot...this will help!!! Bob

What file type did it change to? I don't know if you can play it in window media or any other file burning and copy the playlist to m3u. Just thinking!!!

Just do another rename, and add back the extension .m3u

I screwed up an mp3 by omitting the extension, tried this method, and it worked ;)

Do a search in XP for the file name that you named it and simply add the .m3u to the end of it and add it to your playlist folder, yes it will put it there and not in the history.
