Hi guys, well i returned the DELL precision i could not get it to work properly, and now I am looking for a new laptop, from what I have been reading if the laptop is good for gaming it must be good for VDJ, so I found this Laptop and I would like to know if this would work...

I am by far not an expert but, the only draw back I could see might be the speed on the hard drive. I was always under the impression 7200RPM is the better option. If you go that route remember to dump all the unwanted software that will be pre-installed with it.

if you want to video mix dont get this laptop it uses a odd nvida card which uses a combination of shared and internal memory

I have been looking for a new laptop, and for close to the same price you can get a Dell inspiron 1520 with a duel 2.2ghz processor with a 800mghz front side bus and 4mg cache. 2 gig of ram, 256mg video, bluetuth, wireless, and get a 2 channel sound card. That is a very fast processor...... Just my opinion, never liked toshiba.

I have to disagree on that statement, skyfxl. The 8700 GT should be a real good choice to video mix, since it holds 256 MB of dedicated RAM. But still, I can agree on you on that TurboCache feature, but in this case it already holds enough ram to do video mixing.

I'm running two laptops a dell inspiron 6400 1.4 processor, 1.5gb ram (shared), 40 gb hd and its great with version 3.1 for everything video the lot.
My other laptop is an apple macbook 2.4, 256mb, 250gb, 4gb and it dose not play videos or karaoke through VDJ and mp3 playback is poor as it crashes at least one a night.
