Topic: Midi controller help

Has anyone connected a midi controller to VDJ yet? I know friends who have this set up with Abelton Live but no one I know has VDJ.

Help anyone?

I was looking at the Hardware section and saw that they have a M-Audio Mixer (UC33e; The UC33e is a 9-lines MIDI mixer, that is particulary useful to control the sampler in VirtualDJ) but can it also control the internal mixer on VDJ?

Hey there,

I wouldn't say I'm a midi master but I have experimented with using ps2 controllers and midi via usb, which works pretty good. Eventually I want to make my own controller from that using a small box design.

I also permantly have my pioneer djm 800 set up with VDJ through a 2 port midi sport. I find that this is great as my hands can stay more on the mixer and TTable and less on the keyboard. I have a channel set to move the high's, mids and lows of the default channel on vdj. I also have midi settings for sync, clone, start stop A B, sample start stop and vol, loop in loop out.

I've only used ableton and VDJ so I can't compare too much, but I can say that VDJ seems quite easy to set the midi presets for.
