Topic: How come I have to keep re-analysing my songs? - Page: 1

由于该帖子的部分内容已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

OK, I analysed all 12,000 of my songs, but after closing then reoping VDJ, I notice about 100 or so (different) songs need to be re-analysed all over again.

Any solutions to fix this?

Thx,

Sirslick

Are the songs all on a similar drive or similar path location ?

I have the same problem. I ave about 110,000 songs and every once and a while I haveto analyze songs because I'll get a bunch that come up with the yellow question mark as if VirtualDJ had never seen them before. All my music is on 3 external hard drives connected to the computer with USB.

I have experienced this, and did not put too much thought to it. I'm not sure but think it may be due to id3 tag thing. There was an improvement in the id3 tag engine, and it may be related. Also, they may not have been included in your last scan, because of that. Try this, recurse a folder, locate tracks that have the yellow dot. I want you to also locate the tracks that don't have a time, and or a bpm. Reanalyze these tracks, add to search db, and see what happens.

YESSS, this is a MAJOR problem for me too, I would have to set new cue points too, it's very annoying

Well your issue may be a 'crack' use issue. If you have a license please register -- http://www.virtualdj.com/fusers/modifuser.html

For everyone else... as A Man and His Music said - it took me awhile to absolutely get all mine cleaned up as well for the same situation. It will settle down overtime. Also, it doesn't hurt to run a few checks and fixes on the database while you clean up the few rouge tracks.

Sorry for the late response. All my songs are on one external 110 GB hard drive.

I run the VDJ program from the laptop.

I'll try reanalyzing the songs, recursing, and adding to search database to see if that helps.

Thanx,

Sirslick

Remember that you can allways find all the songs, that are not analyzed by creating a filter folder with filter : isscanned=0.

Not analyzed and part of the Search Database.

So, cstoll, you are saying that using the filter "isscanned=0" will not work in finding the songs that do not have analyzed BPMs?

No I am saying that they must be added to the Search Database first otherwise the filter doesn't work.

i scanned a folder, and after scanning the folder the songs will no longer give me the BPM. what can i do to resolve this problem.

Which option did you use to analyze with ? Try the other selection, does it pick up and register the BPMs ? Also, what type of files are they? MP3 with Constant Bitrate (CBR) or Variable Bitrate (VBR) ?

bump, seriously is there an answer for this problem? this is a HUGE concern, because I had a set of songs that I was going to mix at a club a couple weeks back, and half of them showed up as new songs without BPM's and cue points, it's VERY annoying because I spent over 2 hours analyzing and carefully setting cue points, and all my work undone in less than a minute? PLEASE HELP

please don't be jerks about this, I'm not using a cracked version, if this happened to sirslick (a fully registered user), then it can happen to anyone of any status

u should register your serial number then - u are missing out on heaps of extras

I also have this problem from time to time. All my songs are on an INTERNAL HD. They have all been analyzed using "any music" and from time to time a few to a hundred or so RANDOM songs need re-done. It actually happened to me today while i was doing a Bridal show

I guessing something in the database isn't saving? it's not even like it only happens when I close the program and re-open, if I switch to a different folder for a second, and then switch back, most of the songs I just used like 5 minutes ago, show up at the top in yellow

Are you using VISTA? If so, disable User Account Control (UAC). It solved this issue for me.
