I'm loving my new Hercules! however, whenever I have it hooked up to my laptop, and the laptop is plugged into the wall, i get terrible noise. I have to play off the battery. i don't think its a hercules problem, as i get the noise, although quieter, when i'm plugged into my external mixer as well. Any ideas?

sounds like a classic grounding problem ,
try plugging your amp into a different plug socket than your laptop
it is worth looking into a ground loop isolator some times known as a ground noise killer
they are sold in maplin in the uk and radio shack in the usa
its aslo a good idea to use a powered usb hub with the mk2 if your experaince any issues
