Topic: Timecode stops working after 12 minutes??? - Page: 2

Do you have a 100% signal? Did you do the -13dB fix for your timecodes?
 
I have 0% signal ... and im not aware of the -13db fix for timecodes .. were to get it or how to apply it.

If someone could point me in the right troubleshooting direction ... the only directions I could find were out dated and half in another language.

Ah, this is probably why you're having trouble. The higher quality cd decks don't like the VirtualDJ timecode if it's not been adjusted. There is a download option on the site for the fixed signal but the link doesn't work.

Edit: it seems that the tool I used to do the audio tweaking has gone down, so my tool is effectively useless heh. I'll get a link for you so you can do the tweak manually.
 
 
Andrew, I just downloaded it, am I to assume that the timecode that is in there, has already been lowered?
 
No, that's the original timecode file. If you run the file which says convert and then wait for the dialog to close, it will create the lowered.
 
Ok .... ive got two versions of VDJ running.

4.3 .. .same problems as has been mentioned in this thread .... nothing has changed...even with the new cd.

5.0 ... I still get 0% quality ... but it plays longer then 12 min .. not sure the exact time yet but I will let everyone no.....

also I burnt 6 tracks onto the cd .. .but every time it loads a new track it pauses the live music for 3 seconds unless I turn time code off while it does this.



I'm still hoping someone can help me get 4.3 working ... I'm comfortable with that version and do not want to upgrade yet.

 
It's possible that the besweet utility doesn't do a good enough job for reducing the volume for the timecode. You can download a free program called Audacity and use the amplify tool in that software to manually set the gain to -13db. Save that as a new wave file and try recording that.

I'm getting that as well, asking for a user name and password. Also Norway I read in another post that other time code signals will work with version 5, I've got Torq and Serato Time Code CD's. What do I have to do to make these work. Thanks
 

Serato timecode CD will be supported real soon by plugin a user made.

Torq might too, if any user make one.

The timecode in VDJ 5 is open source SDK for for plugin development to support most types of timecode... :)

No go .. Im curious if anyone has been able to get this to work with the BCD 2000 ?
 
Have you got it all set up properly? I.e. you've connected your cd decks to the BCD2000's line inputs and have selected cd mode within VirtualDJ's timecode config? Could you post a screenshot of this screen please?

Its only one Deck ... and I have connected it into both channels A & B on the BCD 2000 testing. I have also selected both cd & vinyls .. it works in both... but gives 0% quality.

I can post screen shots .. but im not sure what ones you will want to see .. and what configuration... I have been working with this for 3 days now trying to get it to work .. It not like I just plugged it in an started crying.... I have tried everything I could think of.

A rehash of some of my issues.
