whenever i have the console plugged into my computer, whether i am using it to dj or doing something with my mouse, i get a strange noise like a tapping noise.
i use an m-audio firewire solo for my primary sound card and my computers internal one for my secondary because i thought it was a problem with the sound card in the mk2 but that didn't solve anything. but if i use vdj without the mk2 console there is no noises.
has any one had this issue before or know what to do to solve this problem.

It might be latency problem, what is your PC specs? Which drivers do you use for MK2, 2006 or 2007? Do you use Home or Pro Version?
Try to use MK2 only, reinstall driver and try to set latency on Auto or higher that is now.
And enter your serial for Home version here:
