What software are you using to record? Hopefully it should have a meter somewhere while you record so you can adjust the output.

ok my problem is now u see on the video while I am on camfrog there is a mic and a speaker icons. Before I got the mk3 and just used virtual dj the sound was coming out from the speaker icon, but with the mk3 it is coming out the mic icon and I have no idea why
 
had a looking around and when I record a mix I did it sounds like I played it under water
