Topic: What About Gigaport With No Inputs

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Numark Cue is driving me crazy. Yes, it's a good program but all I want to do is output to channels 3 and 4 of my mixer. I have a laptop with a Celeron D and a gig of ram. I have about 3 or 4 gigs of hard drive available and a Simpletech external hard drive and a Gigaport AG connected to the only USB ports of my laptop. I have to reinstall the Gigaport drivers on every startup of Cue. I get the "not enough channels" message until I do so. I get the first few minutes of play without a problem (leading me to start a good gig) and then I get erratic playback, loading and even complete dead stalls during playback. It seems that one deck my load slow and then play ok, but as soon as I load the other Cue deck the waveform jerks across the window, beats and beatlock fail and halfway through the gig the deck or decks stop at will.
It seems that with a gig of ram and no other programs running, adding more ram is not the solution. I can't affors the best ram in order to see if that the problem and when I can afford a dedicated Mac, I might try that. But without any interest in time coded vinyl and other input systems there seems to be little help for me in the forums I have read.
If I have to buy a lisenced (not trial) copy in order to get an update download or something in order to solve this problem I have to give it very serious thought first.
Will the Berhringer BCD 2000 solve the problem?
I would appreciate any help at all.
Thank you

Your using CUE? you show up as a Home Edition VDJ User....no the BCD will not solve any problems...ever..

I had the opportunity to try Cue. The reason I question the effectiveness of the BCD or any other soundcard is because i don't recall any problems when i used the built in soundcard or before the "not enough channels" message.

Slightly confused by your setup. If u are using a home ed then the facility to run the outputs (to chan 3 and 4) of your mixer is not present on this version. But anyway sounds like youre problem is being caused by your USB setup. If you can try making a folder on your laptops HDD with a few tracks in . Unplug the external HDD (to reduce the load on the USB bandwidth) and try running the VDJ/CUE and see if it behaves better. It should give you a clu

Good luck
