Topic: White noise problem - Is it really fixed? [SOLVED] - Page: 1

由于该帖子的部分内容已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hi,
I 'inherited' Virtual Dj, Version 4.1r2 when I bought out another DJ's business. I have been using this program as a trial with intentions to buy it. However, I have experienced the white noise bug that many of your users experienced - aftrer 5 or 6 hours of use. I use System Mechanic to keep my system clean.
Anyway, one of your posts said this bug was fixed in the latest version. I will GLADLY buy the program if you can assure me that this won't happen anymore. (Imagine the tension when doing a wedding - knowing this white noise thing will happen!)
I also experience the Virtual Folder freeze problem - hope that one's fixed too...

thank you,
mondo

I am not sure I do not work for VDJ but.... I believe you cannot transfer liscences. You might be better to download the demo, and purchase the softeware, than to try and fix this problem. But I use 4.3 and have had no white noise issues.

a lot have happened since version 4.1
You won't be disappointed ;)

I've played for 8 or nine hours without an issue, but never had one like that. Could be your system.

the license doesn't transfer...... the software doesn't include a white noise generator, you need to tweak your system if it is reasonable quality and newer .......otherwise see if you have system specs capable of supporting the software

many tweaks are listed in the set up guide , a stickie on the first page at the top......

I understand the licence doesn't transfer. I don't want to do that. But I, as well as other users with the official demo, have experienced this white noise thing. I just want to make sure this bug has been fixed before I buy the program, which I really like.
I know it's not my system - ASUS Core 2 Duo, 2G Ram - and I've done all the tweaks sugested in these forums.

personally never had issue with these white noise prob in 4.3 .. have tried played up to 8 hr. Older version yes it occur to me once after several hr of play. get urself the demo.

this is now solved officaly in 4.3 which is only acessable to pro users

the demo is still 4.2 for now , update comming on that soon as possible

ps you cant inherit a licence if you like the program please buy it.

hope to see you with us soon

I must disappoint you, most motherboards that are dead in my Pc Shop/Service are Asus, no other brand has that much :(
Even the pen with Asus logo that I received as a promo material don't write, LOL!!

Thats hilarious!

I hope this ASUS is an exception! LOL
I have been a lifelong Mac person. I was talked into Windows and so far, so good.
By the way, I DID buy 4.3 and I'm looking forward to eliminating the white noise problem.
Thanks for all your help!

psst psst....

look who is the house..its DJ mondo..

hehe.. welcome mates.. n u won't be disappointed about the white noise problem.. and u make a rite choice:)

Keep spinning

Thanks for the welcome, spinna j...

I am soooooo disappointed. I bought 4.3 and after 5 hours, it started spewing out white noise and had to be rebooted!!!
After reading all the posts, after all the tweaks, after all the assurances - WHITE NOISE!

I still like this program and will continue to use it by rebooting it once or twice a night. But this shouldn't be happening.....

Welcome Mondo, please post your system specs here and I am sure one of the gurus here will see someway to help you...but welcome to the club...

Thanks!

ASUS 1.6 Core 2 Duo Laptop
2 G RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 Video Card
SoundBlaster X-Treme Sound Card (Though problem exists with or without it)
120 GB Hard Drive

White noise happens after about 5 hours of being on - whether the program is being used or not.

I am using version 4.3

Do you have windows set to best performance rather than best quality?

Do you have windows Grafics interface turned off? - the Classic theme turned on?

Do you have all power managment turned off and using the AC/DC connection?

Are you using audio -only? - or Audio/Video?

Does the problem still occur if you close Virtual DJ and played music with (for example) Windows Media Player? Could be a problem with your soundcards drivers.

I get white noise as well .. on my desktop and laptop after 4-6 hrs of playback.

Its a VDJ issue .. I don't get white noise with WMP .. ive left that running for days.

I'm using VDJ 4.3r12 on both.

My laptop is my pro gear .. dell latitude d610 100% tweaked for VDJ an playing out in public.

The Desktop is not dedicated to VDJ .. nor will it ever be. (dual core p4 3hz .. 2 gig ram ).

Its really really frustrating ... as im sure everyone can imagine ... having to restart the app in the middle of one of my sets.

I play out twice a week at the least... and after 3 hrs I restart the app.

Other guys solved this by reinstalling Windows, you can try that.

The one thing both my boxes have in common is there Dells.

Wouldn't that suck if its a VDJ/Dell conflict .. well .. it would suck for me.
