Topic: Need A Soundcard!

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Ok, so I'm selling my serato soundcard this week and I'm gonna be using numark cue to dj videos. I would just use my serato soundcard with cue but I can't get it to work right. Cue is reading the timecode at about 70% in config and it sounds horrible. I need a soundcard that works great with the cue and that has the same construction as the serato box (two stereo ins and outs and also two thrus in case I need to play a regular cd/record).

I'm sure the best route to go would be to get a virtual vinyl box. The thing is that my brother and I live together and we're both djs so we split the cost of the virtual vinyl package and he got the soundcard. I would hate to buy another vv package since I already have the software and timecode cds. Also, I was hoping to find a soundcard that doesn't connnect through usb. I would prefer firewire 800.

What firewire soundcards are most popular?

technialy your not allowed to share licences

on the software so he or you need to buy virtual dj pro as well
if your both going to be using it
the vv box is a good package with 4 in and 4 out

some other good cards are

maya 44 usb

u46dj

I understand about sharing the license.

How is the latency on these soundcards? Are they comparable to the serato box. I'm running bootcamp on a dual intel mac book pro, so I should be able to run vdj at a very low latency setting.

What about firewire soundcards?

when you have vv or pro vdj u will have acess to a mac version that you may wish to try

its very low

infact on the mac version the vv box can achive 1ms latency the minium of serato is 10ms i belive

I agree with the moderator on this one: ditch the bootcamp sh1t and rig a mac-compatible version through your MAC. Why on earth are you running a pc edition through bootcamp on a Mac? This conversion will probably solve 99% of your latency issues!

I've been messin with the mac version of cue since it was released and it doesn't play my vobs. Meanwhile, the windows version plays them flawlessly. I thought I would never in a million years put windows on my mac but it had to be done. I need to dj videos as soon as possible.

I'm currently djing mp3s with serato and I'm running it at 2ms usb buffer.

Anymore advice on soundcards dudes?

How's the latency/sound quality of the maya44 and the u46dj? Is one superior to the other? How do they compare to vv soundcard?
