i just got numark cue, dmc2 and numark cm200usb mixer and im lovin it. couldn't ask for more from the program no crashes. the question is is there a way to put the song from the peramerter knobs into the playlist instead of straight to the deck, and to load the deck from the play list. ive read the new mapper jpboggisand from what i can tell ( and im not to pc savy) but it doesnt do this would i need to make my own mapper?? Or adjust the other. and making a mapper i havent the foggest. for the most part i dont loop sync just straight play track and fade them together like the standard radioone into the other hope this is clear enough. later and keep the floor hoppen

You can add songs to the playlist using my DMC-2 mapper and you can also browse the playlist too.

The only thing it can't currently do is display the file or folder name on the LCD display when browsing. This is not currently possible with the plugin SDK, but it should be possible once VDJ 4.4 is released (The mapper will then be updated.)

When browsing, you will need to look at the laptop/PC screen to see which file/folder you have selected (DAC-3 users who are switching to DMC-2 will be used to this anyway.)
 
cool thanks i havnt installed it yet but i did read the text file and didnt see it but i guess i need to go back to class and relearn to read again lol. well thanks for the replay
 
well i feel like a real dumb ass, aslong as u hit the peramerter knob on the deck thats active it will go into the play list. well i guess thats a pure nubie mistake and just takes some playing to get used to it but i think im going to stick with the origanal map till the updated one comes out and maybe by then i can map one for my self for eactly what i want it for. god how did i ever do this before vdj-cue.

well for the most part the default map is ok for what i need the new map by jpboggis is over the top and filled with stuff i have know idea how to use yet that will have to come in time and practice. but the only thing that i cant seem to figure out is how to get the tracks to go from the play list to the inactive deck. the book doesnt say and ive pushed all the buttons that i can think of. is there a text pad like what boggis put in his zip file that i can look at or does any one know God i must seem like a real dumb azz right now. sorry for the inconvenice

In my mapper, hold down WHEELMODE and press FILE to enter playlist browsing mode. You should do this on the INACTIVE deck (E.g: The one you want to load the file onto.)

To load the file onto the deck, use the knob to select the appropriate file and then press the parameter knob. This will only work on a deck that's currently paused (The DMC-2 mapper will not allow a song to be loaded on a deck that's playing to prevent you from accidentally doing this over a song that's playing out live.)

There are lots of advanced features in the DMC-2 mapper, but you don't need to use them if you don't want to. Most of the basic functionality is very similar to the default mapping.

File/folder name display on the LCD should be possible when VDJ 4.4 is released. However, unless you are loading songs from the same folder, you'll probably find it easier to browse and search from the laptop/PC itself.

Sorry, controller plugins only work with the full version of Numark Cue or VirtualDJ Professional. The light/home editions do not allow controller plugins to be used.

If you upgrade to the full version, you will be able to download it from the plugins section.
