Topic: Global Database Shuts VDJ down

Whenever I try to find a song in the Global Database it allows the search and comes back with results. When I go to download the song it brings up a connecting to napster box and then the whole program shuts down. Anyone have this issue, and how do I fix it?

Try opening Napster first then do it.
 
yeah I have this problem aswell. Don't how to solve it. I was hoping for a answer to.
 
it is definitely a VDJ or Napster error. I doubt we can do anything to fix it. Many people, if not all, are having the same problem.
 
Hello ! I just got concious that i'm not the only one having trouble with the global database
When I want to scan my harddrives or any other folder, it starts good and after a short while it gives me a message of " fatal error" and when I use the choice " RECOVER" it shuts down virtual dj...?
I have the last version of virtual (not the pro one) and the MK2
Besides this problem, everything is ok
Has someone any idea for a solution ?

Its easier to just get the songs from Napster even while using VDJ as I believe the folders will show up automaticaly. That is how I do it.
 
I was having the exact same issue, but I signed on to the Napster website first THEN used virtual DJ and IT WORKED!. so apparently you HVE to be signed in to the Napster website while using Virtua DJ.
 
ok , next question....
After a short while while not using Napster and it is still running in the background...how do you keep Napster from dumping your connection because of no activity being seen?
