im still learning how everything is set up. But is it possible to set up the volume controls on the M2K to control the pitch instead of volume? thanks in advance

Yes you can, when you go into the config menu
select the Tab remote control, there you will see the options for the mk2 (dj console), there is one check box that says invert pitch/volume, that should do the trick.
