I had some mp4 videos which would not load the pictures into VirtualDJ so i converted them to mpeg1! If i just load them into VirtualDJ and play them with no outside controls they work fine and sound great! now when i load them after hooking up my soundcard and time code vinyl the sound quality isnt good at all! but regular mp3 music files sound good! what would cause this?

if your computer is having a hard time decoding the files (maybe you use too high a compression or resolution) then the sound can become garbled.
make sure you convert to 44.1khz audio PCM and just use a standard mpg profile
