i think the solution is not to integrate more gizmos into VDJ but to make a simple and stable MIDI compatibility (in and out, master and slave) this would allow you to sync with whatever you want and controll tempo from another source

VDJ Master and Ableton slave with Rewire.Pipe the sound from vdj through Live and prelisten
befor you mix it in. I tried it without rewire sounds fantstic.

I also imagined (and posted in spanish forum) to integrate a beatbox machine that could be used with beatmatch engine because there are only 12 loop/sample slots, so, it could be easier (and funner) to mix live with another drum&bass engine integrated with Virtual DJ.
