Well after further playing around with this I have noticed that the video effect plugins do not work either.
The list is their in the visual plugin dropdown list but everything is black. I got this to work on the Dell also. I really need to get this HP up and running because overall it performs better than the Dell.

Do karaokes and visual plugins work when you output VDJ video to a window on your main screen?

hate to say it but why not just to a clean install of everything OS and VDJ or you can try just a clean install of VDj if you do remember to delete any case of it from your registry. @frd963 yes karaoke and visual plugins should

thats probably the best thing to do ....beside it's always good to clean install everything....if u clean install xp remember to tweak it when ur done

wow sorry to hear that....it has to have something to do with ur display drivers ..you get nothing at all? is this all of the karaoke did u try disabling hardware acceleration

I'll be darned. I turned off hardware acceleration and all's well. I thought I attempted this already, but I guess I didn't. Thanks for all your help, Phillydj. It seems its always the little things that are looked over.

thats ok ...some laptops don't support that feature very well....hence the reason i choose a 1u server..but im glad it's all going well for you now. anytime u need help you know where to look
