I have just began my road to being a dj, i need advice from anyone good, please give me the basics, and what to do to be good.

Right now: Buy Virtual DJ, Get up to speed with music, Practice as often as you can, and spend time on this forum, much can be learnt here ;).

I dont claim to be a fantastic dj, and im fairly new to djing myself, but do just what bagpuss said... practice! And record your mixes and see where you went wrong and think about what you can do to make it better. Im practising mixing right now in fact.
